Before you start
When a marriage has irretrievably broken down
The court has to be satisfied that the marriage has irretrievably broken down. This is shown by one of six facts: adultery, unreasonable behaviour, desertion for at least two years, three years’ separation with consent, four years’ separation without consent, or divorce by mutual agreement, which has been available since 1 July 2024.
You need the following documents for divorce
- Marriage Certificate
- NRIC
- Birth Certificate of Children
- Addresses of properties
- List of assets
- Particulars of both parties

Fees depend on whether the divorce is contested and what needs to be agreed. Ask us for a quote.
